1. Everything we sell, we've tried to break ourselves
LCM started out of pure love for the Land Cruiser, hence the name: LandCruiser Maniac. But don't let that fool you: our rooftop tents are just as happy on a Land Rover, a pick-up, an ordinary SUV or an estate. Whether it works on your car depends on the roof load: do the roof load check for a first estimate, indicative only. Your vehicle documents remain decisive. Our tents and accessories came along on a five-week expedition through Mauritania, across the desert of Tunisia and over every kind of terrain in between. Sandstorms, corrugated tracks, heat by day and cold by night: whatever didn't survive those trips, you won't find in our shop. What you will find: the LCM Dune, LCM Oasis and LCM Savannah, three aluminium hardshells that passed that test.
2. Quality without middlemen
We work directly with manufacturer SAN HIMA. No importers and distributors each adding their margin. That is how we can offer an aluminium hardshell with 5,000 mm waterproofing, a comfortable mattress and LED lighting at a sharp price. And set up in about a minute.
3. Fitting help and better bolts, as standard
Collect your rooftop tent from us and we'll help fit it to your car on the spot. And because we know what corrugated tracks do to bolts, we fit every tent as standard with stronger, better-quality bolts than the ones in the package. Free, as an extra service. The only thing you arrange yourself is suitable roof racks for your car, and we're happy to advise on those too.
4. Service that doesn't stop after the sale
On our service page you'll find what really sets us apart: winter storage with a complete check-up (the “Hotel” service), professional fitting and removal with lifting systems, and personal advice where you can simply come by for a “test lie-down”. Within 50 km we also deliver and fit ourselves.
5. Try first, buy later
Not sure whether rooftop tent life is for you? Rent an LCM Dune for your next trip. Love it? Then we deduct the full rental fee from the purchase price. Not part of it, all of it. That keeps the cost of your test weekend down, and you never buy blind.
6. You buy from people you'll run into again
We drive around with these tents ourselves, we're at the same offroad events and we're reachable on a regular phone number. Customers appreciate that: we don't have many reviews yet, but the ones we have are good. Not because everything always goes perfectly, but because we fix it when something comes up.
