WE SLEEP IN WHAT WE SELL
We don't sell rooftop tents from an office. We sleep in them. On sand pistes in Mauritania, next to ore trains in the desert and under the stars in the Ardennes. Everything we sell, we took along ourselves first, over the toughest roads we could find.
HOW IT STARTED
FROM HOBBY TO HARDSHELL
It started the way it starts for a lot of overlanders: with a Land Cruiser and a plan to drive it a long way. We bought our first rooftop tent, took it on a trip and soon found out what could be better. Better materials, smarter details, a shell that fits on a 4x4 without any fiddling.
When we couldn't find what we were looking for anywhere, we decided to do it ourselves. That's how LCM Offroad started.
OUR APPROACH
TESTED ON THE ROAD, NOT IN A LAB
Every rooftop tent we sell, we first take on a trip ourselves. Five weeks through the Sahara, on pistes where you don’t meet a soul. Sandstorms, nights below zero and afternoons of 35 degrees and up. Only when a tent handles that without flinching does it go into our range.
That takes more time than a standard import line. But you know exactly what you’re buying.
WHY US
HONEST ADVICE, NO SALES PITCH
We're not a big company with a sales team. You just call or WhatsApp Erwin or Inge. We know every product down to the last bolt, because we fit them ourselves, drive with them and sleep in them. Erwin has been driving Land Cruisers for years and is a member of the Landcruiserclub Nederland.

Co-founder Erwin travelled through the Mauritanian Sahara with his wife Sandra for five weeks, a hardshell rooftop tent on the roof. Sand, heat, a different spot every evening. And every evening that tent was up in about a minute. They were not the only ones impressed: so were their fellow travellers, experienced 4x4 drivers who know what they are talking about.
We had to do something with this
That was the moment. Father and daughter carried on together, and that became LCM Offroad. Entrepreneurship runs in the family: the family business Van Dijk Multiservice B.V. has been around for over thirty years.
That is exactly what good gear does to you. A good rooftop tent makes your trip better: you drive on to that one beautiful spot, because finding a place to sleep is no longer an obstacle.

What we sell
Affordable premium hardshell rooftop tents, shipped from the Gouwe in Hoogwoud. Premium in quality and ease of use. Affordable because, as far as we are concerned, there is no need for an outrageous price tag.

What you get from us
Call or message us and you get Inge herself. No call centre. If you collect your rooftop tent in Hoogwoud, we help with the mounting for free and fit stronger bolts than the ones supplied as standard. Roof racks are up to you, they differ per car.
Everything we sell comes with a 2-year warranty.
